Thomasville Police Investigating Attempted Armed Robbery

Thomasville Police are investigating an armed robbery at a local dollar store.

According to police, around 9:15 Friday night, two black men walked into the Dollar General located at 1113 West Jackson Street wearing bandanas over their faces.

One of the men pointed a rifle toward the clerk and demanded money. The clerk was reportedly unable to open the register and eventually the two men fled the scene with no money.

Police say at the time of the robbery, there were about 15-20 people in the store.

Anyone with information on this crime should contact Thomasville Police immediately.
