Tallahassee, FL-The world renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band boogied down for about 1200 6th grade students from around Leon County during a concert at the Ruby Diamond Auditorium Thursday.
The concert is part of an educational outreach program working to get more young people interested and exposed to music.
" To be able to come and see a performance at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall, which is one of the greatest halls in the country, but also to be able to hear the world renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band from New Orleans, it's just a great experience for them," said Christopher Heacox, executive director of Seven Days of Opening Nights.
