Tallahassee, FL - The North Florida Fair opened its doors on Thursday and has already seen record numbers. Last year there was a total of 103,000 people go through the gates and they've already seen an increase in people coming in through opening weekend. The North Florida Fair encourages folks to visit their website at for daily ticket specials.

The fair says they know people will have a good time and they're confident in their attractions."I credit the ride company and the Department of Agriculture. The ride company for having good quality rides and for the Department of Agriculture for inspecting those rides prior to us ever opening and letting the first customer in through the gates," said Mark Harvey, Executive Director of the North Florida Fair.

We should also mention that if you have plans on attending the fair today and are a Veteran-- you will get in free!
