Tallahassee, FL --June 16, 2012--

Swat teams, fire trucks and police all converged at the Challenger Learning Center Saturday 6-16-12

But it wasn't for any emergency. They were there for the Challenger Learning Center's Rescue Family Fun Day.

People from throughout the Big Bend got a chance to talk to law enforcement and emergency personnel about what they do and see some of the equipment they use.

"This is very important for kids to realize these people are really here to help the. They're not scary. And it's also important for kids to realize what to do during an emergency, how to stay safe and how to help others safely," says Chelsea Bundschuh of the Challenger Learning Center.

And the day was also to help promote the new 'Heroes' 3-D movie. It follows the training Canadian first responders go through.
