Santa made an early stop to one local community.
Jolly Old Saint Nick paid himself a visit to the children of Chaires Saturday.
He along with members of the Chaires-Capitola Volunteer Fire Department went through the Plantation Estates neighborhood handing out candy and Christmas cheer.
It was part of the Fire Department's 8th annual Santa Run.
"Driving Santa Claus around is just a fantastic feeling. It allows us to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a safe Christmas," says Chaires-Capitola Volunteer Fire Department assistant Chief Joe Parks.
Santa will be at it again next Friday and Saturday visiting the children in the Deer Park and Verdura Woods II neighborhoods.
