Severe Thunderstorm Watch (4pm Update)

A severe thunderstorm watch is still in effect for the eastern half of the WCTV viewing area until 8pm ET.

**At 4pm, the cold front was located on a line from Moultrie to Thomasville to Tallahassee to Carrabelle, moving east at 20 mph. Once the front passes by, the wind will come from the NW and it will cool down, and the (small) severe threat will be over. **

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for a portion of the WCTV viewing area until 8pm ET. The watch includes the counties listed below.

In Georgia:

A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.
