Tallahassee, FL--Trees and branches destructing power lines and more than 100,000 people were left without power across the North East side of Tallahassee.

"Sheriff's officers received a call approximately 8 o'clock this morning in reference to a tree across the road as well as power lines down," said Deputy Melinda McBride from the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

LCSO blocked off several intersections and roadways.
Here on North Meridian Road and Bull Headley Road trees took down several power lines.

"I haven't experienced many power outages like this," said Shawn Fraser, a Tallahassee Resident experiencing a power outage. "But it hasn't been terrible--it's just kind of inconvenient."

Crews risking it all to cut the trees, branch by branch in order to restore power.

"I looks like a pretty good size tree that fell and they got cranes and all sorts of things working on it," said Fraser. "But I image that they know what their doing and they'll get it taken care of."

Everything was cleared out around one this afternoon, even the weather.

The City of Tallahassee would like to remind everyone that the older tree limbs can disrupt the power lines.
