Tallahassee, FL- Students at Roberts Elementary School in Tallahassee took to the fields Friday.
From tug of war to relay races and much more students had some friendly competition in the school's annual 'Field Day.'
Students even got to hop in some Tallahassee Police Department squad cars.
TPD says it sees it as a good way to build relationships with the community.
"They need to know that they can talk to us and that they can come to us for any kind of help that they may need and it's a good relationship and to start it at that young age so we're not seen as the bad guy," said Tallahassee Police Officer Scott Beck.
The school says about 850 students participated in the event.
