Love, hope and togetherness.

Those are messages expressed at a vigil held for Shannon Roberts at Anderson Chapel Wednesday.

Church members said she was shot Tuesday at Polos on Park apartments in Tallahassee.

"We do not point fingers, but what we do is embrace with love," said Rev. Freddie Glenn, during the ceremony.

"Shannon is a loving individual, a worker here in the church. She's very active in the YPD, young people's division here. She's a pianist for our church," said Kaye Hogan, friend of Roberts and member of Anderson Chapel.

Friends and family of Roberts attended the vigil. Her sister said Roberts is in critical condition, but recovering.

"I won't judge him by the actions he took against my sister and himself and both of our families and I ask that you remember that Kelvin J. Daniels, he was a good man," said Roberts' sister.

The mother of Daniels also shared words of encouragement.

"We are gonna pray for everybody and I thank you all for allowing me to come here, feeling the love, knowing God is present," said Daniels' mother.

Attendees of the vigil described it as a healing, enlightening and spiritual service.

"We knew that God would prevail in all of this and bring the families together," Hogan said.

"I love her and I know you all love her and I thank you for your prayers, your kind words"

Tallahassee police are still investigating the incident. We will keep you updated on Roberts' condition.
