Tallahassee, FL- It was a sea of green with bars flooded with people as the St. Paddy's Day celebration kicked off early today.
"We've been up since 6 and we here it's 9:55 slash 10 o'clock now ready to get things rolling," said Joedy Ashton, a Tallahassee Resident.
Dozens came out to show their Irish pride and the drink of choice was green beer.
"Looking forward to having a good time with my friends and having some great beer," said Kimberly Blanc, a Tallahassee Resident.
Bar owners did not need a four leaf clover to see plenty of people buying drinks.
"It's usually the biggest night of the year for us," said Rick Boutin, Finnegan's Wake Irish Pub Owner.
Although, it seems like the go-to alcoholic beverage of choice is beer the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States says, Irish Whiskey accounts for a greater percentage at 49 percent during the holiday.
Bloomberg reports that Americans spend an average of 38 dollars on st patty's day and Beer Brewers this year will earn more than 200 million dollars.
"Opened at nine o'clock people are already getting bands," said Paul Steinmetz, a Bouncer at The Strip. "It's going to be wild and We'll be kicking a lot of people out come 10 o' clock."
Everyone had a little bit of Irish in them on St. Patrick's Day.
