All Clear Given At Northwood Centre Following Bomb Threat [GALLERY]

News Release: Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation
April 17, 2014 - 4:45pm

This afternoon a message was received by the Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering indicating a bomb threat. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation located in the Northwood Centre was immediately evacuated. Tallahassee Police Department was on scene. A sweep was conducted and nothing suspicious was found. Employees returned to work at approximately 3:50 p.m.

Tallahassee, FL - According to the Tallahassee Police Department, a caller made a threat to the Northwood Centre over the phone just after 3pm.

TPD and the building manager checked the Northwood Centre for anything suspicious.

An all clear was given, and evacuated employees were allowed back into the building just before 4pm.

The Northwood Centre posted the following to their Facebook page: "TPD has given us clearance to allow people back into the building at this time. Thank you to everyone for their cooperation and our local police department for looking out for us!"

Tallahassee, FL - The Northwood Centre on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Northwood Centre posted the following to their Facebook page: "Department of Business and Professional Regulation received a bomb threat and activated the fire alarm as a precaution. TPD is on site and we hope to have the building cleared shortly."

We have a crew on the way to the scene.
