Bainbridge, GA- Investigators with Bainbridge Public Safety say a tip from an informant led them to the parking lot of Hutto McIver Homes Thursday afternoon.
It's where they found 21-year-old Markeith Chrispen and 27-year-old Shawn Green sitting on the hood of a silver cadillac; but, that wasn't the only thing they found.
"We found close to 35 bags of marijuana inside the vehicle," said
Investigator Mark Esquivel with Bainbridge Public Safety. "We also found a blue pill bottle that contained several pieces of crack-cocaine."
Investigators say many of those bags were found stuffed inside a "Honey Buns" box laying on the car floor. They then searched both men.
According to Investigator Esquivel, they found 25 small bags of marijuana on Green and 15 bags of marijuana on Chrispen.
Investigations say they also searched a nearby residence and found a pistol, more marijuana and scales used to weigh the drug.
Both men are charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of public housing and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of public housing.
The Decatur County Sheriff's Office also assisted with the investigation. According to Investigator Esquivel, Sheriff's Deputy Jason Williams and newest member of their K-9 unit, Bella, were a tremendous help throughout the investigation.
