Bainbridge, GA- The cause of a 49 car train derailment in our area is under investigation.
According to Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin, the train derailed Sunday around 10 p.m. about three miles west of Bainbridge.
Fortunately, there were no injuries, no cargo was lost and no significant damage was done to the tracks or cars.
Crews expect the train to be up and running again by midnight.
