Dozens of wheelchairs were collected today in Valdosta for a great cause.
The wheel chair drive was hosted by the the Joni and Friends Wheels for the World Orginazation. The chairs will go to those that need them in various countries such as Haiti and Thailand.
Duane Roark of Joni and Friends Wheels for the World Organization explained the origins of the donated wheel chairs
"All of our wheelchairs are refurbished at a prison by inmates. And these chairs are shipped overseas to a recipiant and they're given to them at no cost and they're also given a bible," said Roark.
The event was held at the Repeat Boutique on Norman Drive. It will be held every Saturday through Christmas.
