As the nation celebrates Memorial Day weekend, we look to a local place full of veterans.
The Cherry Laurel retirement community hosts more than 100 senior citizens. Many of them served our nation in the military.
They have a Wall of Honor showing many of the veterans when they were younger.
While there, we met Henry Vernon. He served in the military for ten years and was there on Normandy Beach during D-day.
"Well, it's a dedication to the servicemen that fought for this country and we always observed it in the old days," said 93-year-old Vernon.
