Perry, FL - Sharon H. Thoman, 67, of Lanark Village, Florida, was killed in a single car crash in Taylor County this afternoon.

Thoman was traveling westbound on U.S. 98 (State Road 30) in a 2006 Kia Sorento when, for reasons unknown, she failed to maintain in a single lane.

The Sorento left the roadway to the north shoulder and Thoman then attempted to correct the car by steering to the left and reentered the roadway. She then over-corrected to the right and lost control of the Sorento.

The car rotated around clockwise and reentered the north shoulder, then overturned an unknown number of times and entered a water-filled ditch.

The Sorento came to final rest facing southeast on it's roof.

The vehicle was moved by Taylor County Fire/Rescue because Thoman was trapped inside and underwater.

Upon arrival, the Sorrento was found facing north, upright, on the north shoulder.
