Atlanta, Georgia. (AP) -- A bomb squad has removed Civil War relics
thought dangerous from a building at Kennesaw State University and
have allowed students back inside.
University spokeswoman Tammy DeMel said a Cobb County bomb squad removed the relics Monday from the third floor of the social
sciences building after authorities became concerned they posed a
danger. The building was evacuated as a precaution.
It was not immediately clear what relics caused the evacuation,
or why they were stored in the building. University officials did
not immediately return calls seeking comment.
Kennesaw is about 25 miles northwest of Atlanta.
