According to our CNN affiliate in Orlando, One man was arrested on Monday and 29 animals confiscated when deputies broke up what they believe was a cockfighting ring in Orange County.

Investigators said Carlos Ramos, 47, refused to sign a citation and was later taken by the police. He was charged with fighting and baiting animals and animal cruelty, both of which are felonies.

Ramos has a history of animal cruelty and cockfighting since 1999. The fights are usually held until death, or at least until one of the roosters is exhausted, authorities said.
