Governor Charlie Crist is staying mum on whether the McCain campaign has asked him questions about the Vice Presidency.
A Tallahassee lawyer who did extensive research on Crist for Democrats two years ago says he has not been contacted suggesting that means Crist is out of the running.
Asked if he was interested in the job, Crist says only that he is focused on doing the best job possible as Governor.
McCain is not airing any TV ads in Florida and has only 40 staffers while Barack Obama has spent 5 million dollars and has 200 staffers in the Sunshine State.
