Nashville, TN-- Sheryl Oring is visiting Nashville on the campus of Belmont University just one week before Belmont hosts the debate between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama.
She's asking students what thoughts they'd like to pass along to the country's next leader.
She then types those thoughts onto a postcard which she later plans to send to the white house.
Oring is calling her project "I Wish To Say."
She says the idea for the project came during her time studying in Germany. She says many Europeans believe all Americans hold the same beliefs and all think alike and "I Wish To Say" was a way to dispel that myth.
