KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) -- A gang leader who escaped from a central
Florida jail is in custody in New Jersey after being on the lam for
more than two months.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday night that
Michael Rigby was with the Paterson Police Department. No other
details were available.
The U.S. Marshals Service has been tracking Rigby around the
country since he escaped on Feb. 19. He's wanted on five counts of
attempted murder and escape charges.
Shortly after his fled, he was seen in a motel video in Raleigh,
N.C. with an unidentified woman.
Thirty corrections officers from the jail were disciplined after
the escape. Nearly a dozen have been fired.
