ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Firefighters were called to a central
Florida lake near Orlando where a man reported being attacked by an
alligator while he was swimming.
The man, who was not identified, was out of the water when
Orange County firefighters responded to Moss Park on Sunday. The
swimmer said he was attacked by an alligator believed to be 8 to 9
feet long.
The man was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center's
trauma center.
No information on the patent's condition was released.
A trapper has been dispatched by the Florida Water Commission to
kill the alligator.
