Tallahassee - Tuesday night, in a special service at St. Peter's Anglican Church on Thomasville Road, almost 40 bishops from each corner of the U.S. filed in.
They started coming into town on Sunday and will spend the next five days in meetings. They'll discuss ways to shape Orthodox Anglicanism in North America.
They usually meet twice a year but this is the first time they'll have these meetings in Tallahassee.
The Right Reverend Charles Masters says, "A couple of years ago, I'm from Canada, and we had it in Toronto in December. And it was such a horrible experience for everyone because it was so cold that we vowed from then on we're going to meet in the South in the winter. And Tallahassee is such a wonderful place."
St. Peter's Anglican Church is one of the largest Anglican churches in the nation.
