February 12th kicked off one of Tallahassee's most delicious traditions.
Girl Scout cookies went on sale at the19th annual "Run for Cookies 5K and one mile."
The celebration of the cookie's arrival is hosted by The Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle and The Gulf Winds Track Club.
The run is open to all age groups and held at Tallahassee Community College.
"It raises money for girls, so it teaches them great entrepreneur skills and just how to interact with customers and public speaking," said Holly Jones the Girl Scout's Marketing Manager.
Girl Scout cookies will be available from February 12th until March 6th.
The Girl Scouts will have booths with cookies available for purchase outside your favorite grocery stores.
