Many have seen a drop in their paychecks the past several years. Florida and Georgia are no exception. Census numbers say the Sunshine and Peach states are among the poorest. Florida is at 36 while Georgia is at 41 on the list of richest states.
Residents like Anthony Antonelli say they're feeling the impact. "I work in the service industry. I work at a restaurant. I've been serving all my life and it started off being great money. Lately, even in the past two years, we can't even fill up our booths."
The average annual income dropped $2000 in Florida and over $8000 in Georgia since the year 2000.
