Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church Black History Celebration

Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church held a black history celebration in honor of the Civil War Sesquicentennial.

The event is hosted by The Riley House Museum of Tallahassee.

Sergeant Major Jarvis Rosier gave a speech to the audience with a theme of "The Battle Without and Within."

His commemoration gave the audience an appreciation for the History of African Americans during that time period.

"Black History Month means that it gives us a chance to look back and gain a new perspective on what happened in the past and what will happen in the future." said Moses Edwards church greeter and speaker.

The Church has had a different guest speaker every Sunday during Black History Month and will have it's last speaker Next Sunday.
