It all happened on Friday, July 15th at Louise Davis' mobile home off Wyatt Drive.

"Between 6 and 7 a.m., we received a 9-1-1 hang up call. Our policy is to call back. If we can't get an answer, a legitimate answer, we dispatch an officer," said Washington County Sheriff Bobby Haddock.

The first time, a male, presumably Gregory Davis, answered.

"Hello this is Washington County 911, you hung up on me. You got an emergency? (Hang up)"

But whoever answered hung up. Dispatch called back two more times, only reaching voice mail. Then, Louise Davis called saying her mother, Marie Riley, 72 years old, had fallen.

"Dispatch: Washington County 9-1-1, where is your emergency?"
"Louise Davis: Yes ma'am, she needs an ambulance."
"Dispatch:What's going on with her?"
"Louise Davis: She's got a bump on her head."

But investigators said Riley didn't fall. They believe Gregory severely beat her and his wife, before allowing Riley to leave the house.

The final 911 call came from Riley, barely able to tell authorities her daughter was dead.

"Marie Riley: My daughter's dead. He killed my daughter."
"Dispatch: Ma'am?"
"Marie Riley: He killed my daughter."
"Dispatch: Who killed your daughter?"
"Marie Riley: My son-in-law."
"Dispatch: Your son-in-law?"

When sheriff's deputies arrived on scene, they said they found the couple dead inside the home. Louise Davis had three gunshot wounds to the chest, Gregory Davis had one.

Family members were still too distraught on Tuesday to talk about what happened.

"You can just think about the psychological trauma they're going through right now," said Sheriff Haddock.

Marie Riley suffered several injuries, but survived and is recovering with family. The Davis' two teen-aged children weren't home at the time of the shooting.
