More than 300 alpacas came from all over the United States to compete in Tallahassee over the weekend.

The Florida Alpaca Breeders Association held their annual Sunshine State expo and auction at the North Florida Fairgrounds.

Every year, the event welcomes the public to come watch alpacas compete for top ribbons, watch spinners spin alpaca fleece, and even try to win alpaca gifts by entering raffle's.

"we want people to know about Alpaca's, raising alpaca's here in the united states and also in Florida and we wanna let people know about their fleece, their fleece is comparable to Cashmere," said Maryann Marsh, the President of the Florida Alpaca association.
