Folks got a first- hand look at sugar-cane syrup making and tasting, spinning and weaving, blacksmithing and other activities celebrating the region's heritage and culture.
The museum held its first sugar cane grinding demonstration in 1961, and the cane is grown right on the museum's property.
The Big Bend Model Railroad Association also demonstrated railroad usage in the region.
