The Capital City Chili Cook-Off
The Annual Capital City Chili Cook-Off kicked off over the weekend at The Market Square Shopping Plaza.
The title of this years chili cook-off is "Community Outreach and Awareness."
The proceeds from the event will be used by the Center for Non-Profit Excellence to help support small non-profit organizations in the area.
Melinda Piller, Director of the Capital City Chili Cook-Off, says "My favorite thing about the event is that we have great entertainment, great chili, we have great participants and we have loads of fun."
The judges, including WCTV's very own Shonda Knight, will have their work cut out for them.
Over 16 challengers are competing for prizes and the bragging rights of having the best chili in town.
