Tallahassee Prostitution Sting Nets Seven Arrests

[UPDATE] Tallahassee, Florida- August 23, 2012

On August 22, 2012 members of the Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County Sheriff’s Office conducted a street prostitution operation concentrating in the French Town, Bond and South Meridian Street areas.

The operation resulted in four misdemeanor, and three felony arrest involving prostitution and drug paraphernalia offenses. Additionally, one person was arrested for outstanding warrants.

An undercover prostitution ring lands eight people behind bars.

That sting happened on Wednesday. But details from a joint operation from Tallahassee Police and the Leon County Sheriff's Office are just coming out today.

Undercover officers, posing as "Johns", combed parts of Tallahassee.
In one of eight probable cause reports, The undercover investigator says he would pull over and express an interest in sexual activity.
That's when, on several occasions some of the accused prostitutes would say list their price range going as low as 20 dollars for "everything."

In all they arrested seven people, mainly around French Town, Pond, and South Meridian streets. Three of the people arrested are charged with misdemeanor offenses and four with felony offenses, all related to prostitution.

In addition, an eighth person was also arrested for outstanding warrants.
