[UPDATED on 5-11 at 5:15 PM]

Family and friends are preparing to say their last good-byes to three people killed Saturday (5/7) in Iron City.

Evans Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville says it's handling the burials for Stacie Dismuke, Rodney Scott and his wife Christy Scott.

The three victims were allegedly killed by Larry Easterwood when he shot them Saturday (5/7) at the Iron City Convenience Store.

Services for the Scotts will be held tomorrow (5/12) afternoon at two o'clock.

Services for Stacie Dismuke will be held Friday (5/13) morning at 11 o'clock.

[UPDATED on 5-10 at 11:11AM]

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has released the results of autopsies conducted on Christy Scott, Rodney Scott, and Stacie Dismuke.

They confirm the three victims died from gunshot wounds received on May 7 at a shooting in front of the Iron City Convenience Store.

GBI says there is no evidence to show either Dismuke or Christy Scott was pregnant.

[UPDATED 5-9 at 6pm]

Community members say they weren't expecting what happened Saturday afternoon.

Residents in the small town of Iron City, Georgia are leaning on one another as the deaths of three friends and neighbors reverberate almost as painfully as the bullets deputies say caused them.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says 35-year-old Stacie Dismuke, 29-year-old Rodney Scott, and his wife, 27-year-old
Christy Scott, died Saturday (5/7) when 59-year-old Larry Easterwood blocked their car in front of the Iron City Convenience Store and shot them through the driver's window with a .22-caliber rifle.

Says the Scotts' cousin, Christie Scott, "They were very good people. They worked just as hard as anybody could to provide for their family as anybody else would."

Deputies say Dismuke went to live with the Scotts after she and Easterwood's rocky year-long relationship ended in mid-April 2010.

Now, family and friends say their focus will turn to keeping the victims' memories alive for the children left behind in the tragedy.

Dismuke had an 8-year-old son and the Scotts a 5-year-old daughter who was in the car when the shooting happened, but wasn't harmed.

Another cousin, Amy Scott, says of the deceased,"They didn't meet any strangers. They were nice to everyone they come [sic] upon. They were respectful people. They would help anybody."

People in Iron City say they can't help but wonder why something so terrible happened to people they say were 'so kind.'

Deputies say they arrested Easterwood at his home about an hour after the shooting.

He is being held at the Seminole County Jail on three felony murder charges.

[UPDATED 5-8-11 at 7:10 PM]

Gloom overshadowed Mother's Day 2011 in Iron City, Georgia after a man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and two of her friends.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says after Larry Easterwood and his girlfriend, Stacie Dismuke, split up in mid-April, Dismuke went to live with her friends, Rodney and Christy Scott, at their home in Iron City.

Deputies say on May 7, around 5:30 in the afternoon, on-going harassment between Easterwood his ex reached a boiling point, and Easterwood took matters into his own hands at the Iron City Convenience Store.

Explains Seminole County Sheriff Heath Elliot, "He blocked [the car] off and got out and shot all three in the vehicle."

Those who knew the couple say Easterwood had been served with a criminal trespass notice to stay away from Dismuke.

Says one of Easterwood's old neighbors, "The law should have been more involved with this case and took [sic] it more serious, and none of this would have happened."

Continues Elliot, "There was [sic] calls that he had rode down the street where she was living on or he would come in the store when she was in the store. There was nothing [deputies] could charge him with."

Investigators say the .22-caliber rifle Easterwood used to shoot the three hasn't been recovered.

The Decatur County dive team pitched in to help search nearby Spring Creek where they say Easterwood could have dumped the weapon.

Christy Scott died on scene after being shot.

Her husband, Rodney Scott, was taken to Donalsonville Hospital, and Stacie Dismuke was life flighted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Both later died from gunshot wounds.

Authorities say Easterwood was arrested at his home about an hour after the shooting.

He is being held in the Seminole County Jail and faces three felony murder charges.

The Scotts leave behind a 5-year-old girl. Dismuke leaves behind an 8-year-old boy.

Why does every murder have to turn out with racist posts on them. It is a disgrace that the people in the south is so dang racist.I was raised we are all Gods children, and when I came south I was shocked at how much there is here.God created us all and the world needs to remember that and those who want to be so dang racist will have to answer to God so remember that, you are only hurting yourself since you will have to answer to the Lord when you day comes. We all have our day and I pray the ones that has to turn every murder into a racist issue will pray for help to becomd a Red Blooded American and realize that a family is suffering and everyone wants to get ugly. There is good and bad in all racists in this world. Let the family greave in peace. My prayers go out to the family who have lost loved ones. May God protect you through this tragic time.

thus or so: thus or so, used within brackets to indicate that what precedes it is written intentionally or is copied verbatim from the original, even if it appears to be a mistake.

It's probably because the thug involved, as well as the crime, was in Georgia. There would be a lot more comments had this occurred in Florida. That being said, I wish there was a way the thug could die the same way he victimized others...at the wrong end of a .22 rifle.

That's why there should be way stricter gun laws. Too easy access to firearms by the general public.

Excuse me, but it's already against the law to kill people with anything. Can't get much stricter than that.

What's got me baffled is why a 59 year-old man was involved with a 35 year-old woman in the first place. If he's old enough to be her dad, he's got no business being involved with her. I certainly hope the law brings this guy to justice.

Why is a 35 year-old woman involved with a 59 year-old man. I sure she had her woman's reason's. Sugar Daddy perhaps? Its not like she was underage. I do condemn the actions of the shooter. What a tragedy.
