UPDATE 2-14-2011 4:05pm By Jill Chandler

For the second time in a week, Florida State running back Jermaine Thomas has been arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Thomas was first arrested February 4th, and less than a week later, on the 11th, he was pulled over in Leon County for the same thing.
He was released on bond the same day, posting $500 dollars.

Because it is only a misdemeanor, Florida State has not suspended their starting running back and will not comment on what punishment, if any, Thomas will receive.

A Florida State football player gets in trouble with the law.

Jermaine Thomas, a running back for the Seminoles, was arrested Friday for a non-moving traffic violation while driving with a suspended license.

He was released the same day. It was his first offense.

It should be noted that KNOWINGLY driving with a suspended license is a FELONY and should be upgraded directly. It's the knowledge and disregard that upgrades the seriousness of the offense.

King, you are right BUT......he can't say that he forgot about it since he was just Arrested for the same thing a few days earlier. He knew his License was Nno good and he drove anyway and got caught. They should throw the book at him and take His Vehicle.

Hey TPD, it's a slow day today. Maybe you could arrest that football player for the same charge again.

The majority of suspended licenses come from unpaid traffic tickets.Although very easy to get on campuses, they are also easy to forget abotu as well.To even think of suspending a player off a team for such a minor issue is ridiculous, just take his car keys.No excuse for not paying tickets though if that be the case.

Yep, born and raised in New York. Know what that means? It means I have a full set of teeth, I don't say "Let me tell you-uns one thing" every other sentence, and I don't wear camouflage. It also means I know how to spell and passed grammer in school. Laughingstock? Just ask any of the feds that are assigned here. Hope we never meet? Whatever. Hop back in your pickup truck and go back to your trailer.
