Eastpoint, FL--A countywide hunt for 20 people led by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit finally comes to an end Friday morning when all of them are put behind bars.
Crack cocaine, illegal prescription pills and marijuana were all found during the bust.
"Most of these charges were existing charges," said Sheriff Mike Mock from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. "Charges that we have been working on for quite a while."
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, most of the arrests were made right in front of the Centennial Bank in Eastpoint.
Other arrests were made in Apalachicola and Carrabelle. FCSO says undercover informants helped in the investigation. The suspects face charges ranging from drug sales to trafficking.
"I want Franklin County as drug free as we can get it," said Sheriff Mock. "It makes it a safe place to raise our children."
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is in the early stages of the investigation, so they still do not know if these individuals are linked in any way.
