Tallahassee, Florida - May 25, 2011 -

In 2010, Erica Johnson, who lives in DeKalb County, Georgia, became aware that someone was
attempting to open fraudulent accounts in her name. When Johnson learned this information, she
activated a fraud alert on her personal information with the credit bureaus and filed a report with law
enforcement in DeKalb County.

On May 23, 2011, Sun Trust Bank Corporate Security noticed the fraud alert on Johnson’s information and contacted the Leon County Sheriff’s Office after a loan application was submitted in her name.
The loan application was submitted in Georgia, with a request that it be completed in Tallahassee. On May 24, 2011, Financial Crimes detectives from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nikia J.
Daniels, 24, after she completed the $5,200.00 automobile loan at the Sun Trust Bank on Monroe Street.

Detectives learned that Johnson and Daniels went to school together in Georgia, but have not been in
contact since 2004. At the time of her arrest, Daniels had other documentation in Johnson’s name with
her.

This investigation is continuing and additional charges are likely.
