A Havana teen is behind bars for burglarizing several homes and leading deputies on a high speed chase.

Gadsden County deputies arrested 19-year-old Devarius Strong shortly after he wrecked his car near Shortcut Road. A neighbor noticed him stealing TV's and laptops from several homes on Timber Run Road in Havana and called the police.

"We encourage our residents here in Gadsden County to know if they are aware of a crime taking place to please call and notify the sheriff's department. We're trying to be more proactive at this point," says Ricky Gainous with GCSO.

Deputies say Strong led them on a three minute chase before wrecking his car and running into the woods nearby.
