Deputies Arrest Two in Connection with Residential Burglaries
On August 16, 2012, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2000 block of Miller’s Landing Road in reference to a burglary. Deputies checked the area and discovered another residence had been burglarized in a similar manner. Jewelry and computers were reported stolen in each incident. While deputies were documenting the burglaries, LCSO received a call from the Tallahassee Diamond Center at 1355 Market Street. Employees at the Diamond Center reported that two men were trying to sell a large quantity of expensive and unique jewelry.

Deputies responded to the Tallahassee Diamond Center and made contact with Angell Aguilar, 28, and Dwayne Faulkner, 28. The two were in possession of jewelry stolen in each of the Miller’s Landing
Road burglaries. Deputies and Property Crimes Detectives also recovered additional stolen property from the vehicle Aguilar and Faulkner were driving.

Sheriff Larry Campbell stated, “The property in these cases was recovered because of the quick thinking employees at the Tallahassee Diamond Center. I’m certain the victims are very thankful the employees cared enough to contact law enforcement.”

This investigation is continuing and additional charges are likely. Aguilar and Faulkner were taken to the Leon County Jail.
