Lowndes County, Georgia - August 17, 2012 -

Sheriff Chris Prine stated that investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office went 6331 Dove Drive, in south Lowndes County, to serve a probation warrant for the arrest of Michael Terry. At the residence investigators could hear a television and people walking around inside the residence although no one would answer the door. Investigators could also smell a strong odor of chemicals emerging from the residence. Given their belief that there were persons inside the residence and the possibility that very dangerous drugs were being manufactured, investigators entered the residence. Michael Lee Terry and Dorothy Nicole Herndon were detained while a search was conducted. This search resulted in several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine and a quantity of methamphetamine that had been produced.

These persons were transported to the Lowndes County Jail where they are being held awaiting an arraignment hearing in Magistrate Court.
