31-year-old Michael Dasinger was arrested at his home on Pullen Road, for walking on Lincoln High's campus.

Deputies say he made contact with a 14-year-old girl he lured through sexual text messages.

"Every person that is a visitor to our schools must go through the rapture system, which means they must present identification, the identification is then ran through the system and checked nationally" says Leon County School's Spokesperson Chris Petley.

Petley says Dasinger did not check in with the front office. He says the schools in Leon County closely monitor any suspicious activity on campus.

31-year-old Michael Dasinger, is a registered sexual predator and on
Tuesday, September 16th. Police reports show he attempted to go down the same track again.

"It makes me feel a little uncomfortable, but I'm glad administration acted quickly and swiftly," says Donald Sheppard.

Sheppard has a 15-year-old daughter who attends Lincoln High School, and he says knowing that a sexual predator made way to the school's campus makes him feel uneasy.

Deputies say Dasinger contacted the 14-year-old Lincoln High School girl by sending her sexually explicit text messages.

After Deputies got word that Dasinger did in fact send the messages, they later discovered he also made contact with the girl during school hours and on Friday he was arrested at his home on Pullen Road.

"It's wrong I mean it's disgusting I wouldn't know why someone that age would want to come to the school like this," says former student Steven Woodell.

A press release from the Sheriff's Office states that Dasinger has been arrested before and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Act on a Child Under 12.

Tallahassee, FL - September 16, 2011 --

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a sexual predator after confirming that he went onto the campus of Lincoln High School to contact a fourteen year old student. On Wednesday, September 14, 2011, School Resource Deputy Michael Halligan received information that a designated sexual predator may have been on the Lincoln High School Campus on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.

Deputy Halligan and Sgt. Steve Norville of the Sexual Offender Unit interviewed the student and learned that Michael Dasinger, 31, had been sending the student sexually motivated text messages. Deputies and detectives also confirmed that Dasinger had in fact been on the Lincoln High campus three days earlier and did in fact make contact with the student.

Dasinger is on probation and is not allowed to be on a school campus. He is also not allowed to have any contact with children under 18. Deputies arrested Dasinger at his residence located at 1305 Pullen Road this afternoon and charged him with violating the terms of his probation in reference to the original charge of Lewd and Lascivious Act on a Child under 12.

Since he was already tagged with the label then this isn't his first offense. Anything short of a 10-15 year stint in prison will be abhorrent. I imagine, or certainly hope, that the 14 year old get some serious guidance and soon. She is partly responsible for this happening as well as endangering others.

Why is he still alive? He is a threat to society and needs to be treated as such!

As a parent of a 15 year old daughter at Lincoln, I'd like to know why the parents were not informed of the Predator by Lincoln staff? A simple email with this info would have been sufficient. They have no problem sending emails regarding sports and clubs, WHY wouldn't this be included....unless they are trying to hide the situation?? Thanks WCTV for the article!!

This low life needs to be put away for life before he kills an innocent human being. Question: Both homosexuality and being a pedophile is a form of deviant abnormal behavior.

To all the people who say he "cannot change": Do you also believe that homosexuality is nature or nuture? Just curious. It seems if you are arguing that one cannot change their behavior in being attracted to kids then the same homes true for adult homosexual preferences. And NO, I am not trying to compare homos to pedophiles.

Okay, I know we're talking Leon County School system here but if you work in the school system, you should at least know that the identification verification system is called RAPTOR!

Way to go LCSD But the young girl also needs to be punished for sexually texting When her parents is sending her to school to learn and get a education.not to carry her self in a sexual manner because if she would have never starting playing games with that preditor he would have never took the offer

School system said "and then ran" should be "then run". Come on, is it the blind teaching the blind in school systems now?
