Tallahassee, FL - At approximately 9:00 a.m. on June 8, 2011, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at the Texaco Station located in the 5800 block of West Tennessee Street. When deputies arrived, they discovered Quamaine Williams, 19, stabbed in the hand. Edna Thelemaque, Williams’ girlfriend and the suspect, was not on the scene. She had left the area in a gray Jeep.
Deputies were able to determine that Williams and Thelemaque had been arguing over a cell phone earlier. The argument progressed to the point that one of the Jeep’s windows was broken, and
Thelemaque tried to run over Williams with it. Williams left and went to the store but was met there again by Thelemaque. When Williams exited the store, Thelemaque confronted him just outside the
front door and tried to stab him with a knife. The store’s surveillance system captured the image (attached) of the apparent stabbing in progress. Deputies said Williams was able to push Thelemaque away from him as she attempted to stab him, but he was struck on the left hand by the knife. The injury was nonlife threatening. Thelemaque was located and arrested. She was taken to the Leon County Jail.
