Tallahassee Police officers responded to 1492 Nashville Drive last night at approximately 4:50 PM after receiving a call about a person who had been shot. As officers arrived, they located victim Joseph Hines laying in the yard and suspect Sam Conyers standing nearby.

The investigation determined the two men were involved in a disagreement over the victim’s bicycle. Mr. Hines was attempting to retrieve his bicycle from the Conyers yard when Conyers retrieved a “sawed-off” shotgun from within his residence. Mr. Hines attempted to walk away and Conyers shot him. The victim received non-life threatening injuries to both legs and was transported to TMH. Conyers was arrested.

Arrested: Sam Conyers, black male
Charges: Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Short Barreled Rifle
