Thomasville, GA -- March 13, 2012 --
Drug agents in Thomasville say they caught a man trying to bring in psychedelic drugs from Tallahassee.
Michael Meyer was arrested in the 600 block of E Washington street in Thomasville. Agents say he had almost 30 grams of cocaine and a drug called DMT with him. Agents say DMT is a natural chemical produced by the brain, but a dangerous drug when taken in it's synthetic form.
"They tell me it's the most powerful psychedelic drug known to man, it's made several different ways, and I'm told you usually don't have a good experience when you do it," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.
DMT can be crystallized and made into a powder form. Meyer was picked up right near a school on E Washington. Agents say he had hidden the cocaine in a lint roller and the DMT in a flashlight.
