Man Wanted in Louisiana Arrested in Lowndes County

Valdosta, Georgia - July 8, 2011 -

On Thursday, July 7 deputies and investigators from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office assisted the United States Marshall Service with the service of an arrest warrant for Patrick Paul George at a residence in Valdosta. George was being sought for an Obstruction of Justice warrant issued in the State of Louisiana. Once entry was made into the residence, located at 930-A Rhett Road, the deputies located Patrick George and other illegal items.

An additional search order was obtained for the residence and a thorough search conducted. This effort resulted in the recovery of approximately one {1} gram of cocaine, approximately eight {8} pounds of marijuana and two {2} firearms inside the residence.

Patrick George was transported to the Lowndes County Jail where he is being held pending his arraignment and eventual return to Louisiana. The original Obstruction of Justice warrant was issued by the St. Martin Parrish Sheriff’s Office.

As this investigation continues additional charges in connection with the marijuana, cocaine and firearms are possible.
