Valdosta, Georgia - January 27, 2012 -
A tip from a concerned citizen led the Valdosta Police Department's Narcotics Unit to an apartment in the 1800 block of North Ashley Street.
There police executed a warrant that led to the arrest of Stephen Smith. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, according to officers.
The raid occurred around 5:30PM on Thursday afternoon.
The tip came from the manager of the apartment complex who described strange behavior prior to the arrest. Smith was approached by the apartment manager when he flooded his room after falling asleep with the shower running.
The suspect is currently being held in Lowndes County Jail.
