Gadsden County, Florida June 25, 2012

Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office arrest 40 year old Charles David Owens and a warrant sought for 37 year old Jennifer Bay alleging Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a minor.

Owens was a member of the Midway Volunteer Fire Department.

Bay was a member of a support organization for the department.

They're being charged with soliciting a 14 year old minor who was a member the Midway Volunteer Fire Fighter Explorer Program to engage in sexual acts with the couple.

Evidence of the acts was found after GCSO were alerted by the victim’s family.

GCSO investigators ended up searching the home of Owens locating a camera with several pictures of the minor.

The couple committed lewd acts upon the minor at least five times according to the arrest affidavit.

Owens continued an ongoing sexual relationship with the minor.

Charles David Owens is charged with 25 counts of sexual assault on a juvenile and 25 count of possession of pornography.

Jennifer Bay is also charged with 5 counts of sexual assault on a juvenile.

City manager, Auburn Ford says Owens was fired in March 2012, for "bad behavior" that did not include these incidents.
