The suspect in this case will not be charged with the robbery but held on felony narcotics violations for now.

Gadsden County, Florida- July 31, 2012
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office responded to Whitfield Recycling in reference to a armed robbery. The suspect moved the outside cameras of the business, hid in the portable restroom outside and waited for the clerk to open the business. Once the clerk unlocked the door the suspect entered behind her holding her at gun point demanding money. The suspect was dressed in dark clothing, wearing a black hat and partially covered his face. The clerk told the suspect that there was no money in the office as she pleaded for her life. The clerk found a money bag in the office that contained twenty nine dollars in rolled coins and gave to the suspect who demanded cash. The suspect eventually fled the area on foot headed towards Quincy.
Deputies and K-9 combed the area and learned the suspect fled in a vehicle parked nearby. Investigators began interviewing witnesses, reviewing video and previous store receipts. After reviewing surveillance video and talking with the victim a suspect was identified. The clerk stated that she recognized the hat and the person because he was a frequent customer. Store receipts and eye witness testimony led investigators to Sylvester Riles, Jr. Riles was located at the Gadsden County Courthouse where he was in traffic court. Riles was found with twenty nine dollars in cash money at the time of arrest.
