Robber Caught in Act at Valdosta Gas Station

Valdosta, GA - A robber is caught in the act at a local gas station convenience store.

It happened at the Citgo gas station on West Hill Avenue in Valdosta Wednesday near the intersection with Norman Drive. Police say 20 year old Isaac Price demanded money from the clerk around 5:00. He was unarmed.

He tried to forcefully take it from cash register and broke the register. Valdosta Police and Georgia State Patrol arrived while the robbery was in progress and arrested the man.

"Fortunately no one was hurt," said Commander Brian Childress with the Valdosta Police Department. "A good quick response by law enforcement and we appreciate the folks inside the store who kept calm and didn't challenge the person. This one worked out well and it was resolved quickly."

Price is charged with "Criminal Attempt to Commit Robbery" and "Criminal Damage to Property". He is being held in the Lowndes Detention Center.
