Florida Highway Patrol Release
On February 4, 2013, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper stopped a silver colored Chevrolet Impala traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near Mile Marker 212 for a window tint violation.
Upon stopping the vehicle, the trooper noticed the odor of raw marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle.
A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded two large vacuum sealed bags of marijuana weighing a total of 2.2 pounds that were
found in the trunk.
Also located within the vehicle were two loaded firearms, cocaine, and ecstasy.
There was also a large sum of American currency, estimated to be between $120,000 and $150,000, located throughout the vehicle including underneath the hood.
Both subjects were charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two subjects were arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail.
