Live Oak, FL - December 27, 2011 --

A woman from Live Oak is arrested for Grand Theft after being accused of stealing from Walmart, her employer.

Suwanee County Sheriff's deputies say they arrested 52-year-old Cassandra Cason, last Thursday.

They say the loss prevention team at the Walmart in live oak had been investigating her for more than a week before the arrest.

But it wasn't until she was stopped for a traffic violation that deputies found six-grand worth of items she had stolen.

These comments are amazing to me.... I am a New Yorker, been in Tally 6 years. Never seen or heard so much racism in my life and from BOTH sides. Please be reminded we are all entitled to our opinions, but please let the girl have her day in court. Who are we to judge? Our justice system isn't perfect but trust me, we do have the best in the world. I must shamefully admit that the media here does seem to give some stories more attention when not necessary.

Wow, how can so many of you justify this woman's stealing from her employers because government does it. Or because it is a paultry 6K. Seriously! I am almost as certain that if she is not able to met her bills, with her paycheck there are subsidies out there being provided for her. Do we even know what she stole? Was it food and clothing that she needed for her famiy? I hardly thing 6k household items needed to assist her family would fit into her car. I buy less then 200 every two weeks and it barely fits in the back seat of mine. So I am thinking these items were high priced yet small in size. So if someone is stealing because they have a lack of food or proper clothing at home is one thing, Not Right! But can sort of be understood. But if she was stealing other items. Then I am sorry for her, but grand theft is grand theft. I am seriously also sick of the race card being thrown in there. We are a predominately black area, so yes it may seem like it is more blacks committing crimes, but look at other areas of the US, and you will see it pretty well evens out as far as race.

Here we go again, all the 9-5 blue collar workers bickering over race and a measly 6000 dollars. It was barely 4 years ago when the us treasury was robbed of billions by wall street the bailout plan. They have us all exactly where they us, fighting over crumbs and not working together because of race and political beliefs. As long as we continue have antipathy for each other, they will continue to take us to the cleaners.

So you're saying it is OK to steal as long as those you steal from have a lot of money? I hope you don't have children.
