Tallahassee, Florida - June 13, 2012 -

Officer David Northway with the Tallahassee Police Department says a suspected car thief took officers on a chase through Tallahassee this afternoon. TPD received a call around noon from a man who says he reported his car stolen last week, and believed he saw another man driving it down Lake Bradford Road on Wednesday.

When police approached the suspect, the suspect drove towards the officers. Officers say the suspect took off toward Pensacola Street. Police pursued the suspect only after the suspect attempted to run over the officers. During the chase, the suspect hit the car of another driver nearby. No one was injured.

TPD will only say the suspect is a man, but that they'll release more information later today. He is charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle which is a felony.

Hey!! I have a great idea, all you touchy feely family members that want to stand behind this mutt and his actions, making excuses for him. How about we the people enact a law that forces the family of these crooks to pay for the damages. Garnish your wages, sieze your bank accounts and property and liquidate anything you have until the victim gets compensation. Also lets force you to feed and do his laundry while he sits in jail for 5 years. Imagine the decrease in crime if these punks parents, cousins, and relatives had to fork over their property and time. Jr wouldnt get food unless momma brought him something every day. Now that would be justice. Cut the welfare checks when they allow them to go rogue on the community, take away any assistance the parents and siblings get, and the cousins too. I bet that would curve the crime rate coming out of these rotten baby factories. The facts are, there is a huge difference between races. Buzzards and Eagles are birds and bleed red but that dont make them brothers.

Yes, Yes!, YES!! This is what I've been saying, but your suggestions are even better. These parents (usually single; who knows WHO dear old dad is, much less where he is), who can't be bothered to properly raise their kids should be thrown in jail with them. If they won't take the time to do so on their own, let them have some "quality time" with their little darlings behind bars.

Black women are the one thing most damaging to black boys.....You all keep their fathers out and it ultimately hurts your sons, though you get a sense of fulfilled payback they get 20yrs to life.

Who needs the KLan when you got FAMU class of 2012. No white person could have been more damaging to that black institution then the black students themselves have been. AND that is the truth and you all know it.

Oh please he was not place in that situation from peer pressure. He was place in that situation by our government who hires unqualified women to deliberately get pregnant out of wedlock with children they do not want and can not afford and then this is what happens.

The government Welfare program is hiring women to get deliberately pregnant with children they do not want and can not afford. Just give the women the checks, don't make the child bearing a condition to getting the monthly checks. It cheaper just to give them the check then to give them the checks on the condition they first bear a child for us to support because they child grows up and becomes a thug. Then they start robbing and killing.

Instead of making excuses for him, how about apologizing to the victim? Or your community? No, you want to blame people making silly comments on a news site. Thug life: the new 'Merican dream.

It is the Fault of FSU for allowing people of this quality near the University. We should give FAMU more stimulus money to keep up with FSU.

To the aunt, if he is a good guy that just made a mistake maybe you could get him to tell the police where all of my tools are. See that's how I provide for my family and insurance wont cover those. He's already in trouble for it, but it would help me at least make up for all the other loses ive incurred

And can you tell me why noone in this mans family thought it was strange that he had no license and was suddenly driving around in a brand new truck? Hello!?!?!?! I guess you were just supporting him then as well. So, it's not just his fault. It's his families too. What a good moral family to allow that to happen for several days.
